I live in Minneapolis with my dog Kojak. Kojak likes to bump my arm while I’m drawing, and he
needs to go for an urgent walk when I’m trying to draw something with a lot of detail.
I’m not an artist by training (that much is obvious), but I come from an artistic family and I’ve always liked to draw (and write, and bake, and build things). When my friend Mary got cancer and started chemo, I told her I’d send her a drawing every day to lift her spirits. I did this for the rest of her life. She died too young, and she always liked my mice.
I started sharing my daily drawings with other people too, and even though Mary is no longer
with us, there are always people who are dealing with sucky things and need a reminder that
someone cares.
My mission is to create a world of positivity and support through art.
