Frequently asked questions
General
Rarely. I’m red-green colorblind and can only see 1% of the colors that a “normal” person can see. I make too many mistakes if I deviate from primary colors (I’ve gotten used to being laughed at). I’d love to be able to see the full spectrum, but I find ways to be happy with my 1%. You can color my drawings any color you want!
I like to draw on a 4” x 6” tablet, which is a standard frame size.
I don’t sign them when I draw them, but I’m happy to sign a drawing if you buy one and want it signed. I’ll try to find a spot where it won’t get in the way. My signature looks something like this:
I started drawing the rabbit years ago. I don’t remember where it came from, but it has evolved to represent my introspective side. It doesn’t have a name because a lot of other baggage comes with a name (like a gender, a nationality, etc.).
The mice are all about fun and adventure. They take risks and live in the moment. I aspire to be more like them.
I doubt it. Possibly Mr. Rogers. I live in the world and have good days and bad days like everyone else. I take an antidepressant, which helps. I gave up alcohol, which REALLY helps. But the thing that makes me happiest is helping others, so I draw something every day that I hope will help someone.
Sure. Once I release them into the interwebs, it’s kind of out of my control anyway. Please don’t change them or make up mean captions. It goes against my original intent.
I’m glad you asked! There are books available on Amazon. Or, you can choose your favorite drawings from my website and have them made into custom books.
Everywhere. I’m fortunate that I’ve never run out of ideas. If I know someone who’s having a tough time, I ask myself, “What message might help them?” Sometimes, I ask myself what message might help me. Sometimes, I just draw something funny or flowery because everyone needs laughter and flowers.
You bet, but I reserve the right to turn them down if they go against my mission (to create a world of positivity and support through art). Some things I’ve done in the past are:
● Birthday cards
● Wedding announcements
● Portraits
● Books
Contact me and we can discuss what you have in mind.
No comment, but you can draw your own conclusions from my art.
I was raised a Lutheran, but have moved away from organized religion. I consider myself an agnostic (meaning I can’t prove or refute the existence of a god), so even though many people might get a lift from spiritual messages in my drawings, others might be turned away by them. I prefer to draw things that can be appreciated by everyone.
I gave up alcohol in early 2024 and joined AA. It has helped me and millions of others escape the prison of alcoholism. AA is not scary. They’re welcoming, funny folks. If you need a sponsor, I encourage you to find one in your area. If you need motivation and encouragement, check out my book An Alcoholic’s Little White Book of Motivational Sh!t.
